Benjamin Strick is an open source investigator for the BBC and an analyst in data, mapping, networks and geospatial intelligence.
He has a background in law and the military, and his research focusses on the areas of conflict, arms tracing, human rights and information operations.
His work for the BBC World Service has documented serious wrongdoings using a forensic level of detail for accountability. Those projects have subsequently received numerous awards in the field of investigative journalism.
Ben has also been the lead investigator and trainer for the EU Arms Tracing project since 2018, which has been responsible for tracing and documenting where weapons from Europe end up, in conflict zones or human rights violations (euarms.com).
